Miles To Go (the “App”) is operated by Juan Daniel Restrepo (CEO). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@milestogo.site.
Data we collect
- Location (precise & background): to compute miles, detect safe stops, and coordinate audio ads (e.g., ~every 7 minutes) while the App is active.
- Notifications: to alert you about video opportunities and relevant states.
- Media playback (audio & video): we log start/finish events to estimate pilot “earnings.”
- Diagnostics & basic usage: minimal technical info (crashes, performance) to improve stability and support.
iOS note: depending on system settings, a very low-volume background audio may run only to keep the App active in the background and ensure ad delivery. You can mute it from the App or system settings.
How we use your data
- Provide core functionality (miles metrics, on-route ads, safe-stop videos).
- Keep the App active in background per iOS/Android policies.
- Improve security, performance, and support.
Legal basis & control
We process your data to deliver the features you request in the App (performance of service/legitimate interest). You can disable permissions (location, notifications, audio) from device Settings or the App’s controls.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use infrastructure providers (e.g., maps, notifications) solely to operate the App and require appropriate security safeguards.
Retention
We retain data as needed for operation and the pilot. You may request deletion at support@milestogo.site.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability where applicable.
Users in the EU/EEA (GDPR) and California (CPRA) may have additional rights.
Security & international transfers
We apply reasonable safeguards (in-transit encryption, access controls). Data may be processed in other countries by providers with appropriate protections.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. If we learn of improper use, we will delete data within a reasonable time.
